Materials: A combination of dry and wet techniques using the new Graphitint coloured pencils by Derwent.
This piece was the first image I drew using this new product, my brief was to produce an image to show of the possibilities of this new product using a fantasy or mythical theme. You can see it on the litturature in the tin of pencils, the image was inspired by sheila wolks piece Metamorphosis the model is my niece I photographed her led on my carpet with a spotlight on the floor to create the lighting effect. Once I had the reference I drew out my design and changed quite allot about it, the light from above doesn't appear on the original artwork and I tried to create more hair detail. My intention was to re assemble a classic image in my own style something artists have been doing for centuries. Buy at [link] |
